Molecular Kinetics, Inc. is a biotechnology company incorporated in the State of Washington over twenty years ago.  The company was previously the North American agent for a niche market instrument line of rapid kinetics instrumentation.

Several years ago, we added bioinformatics/proteonomics into our product mix.  In this venture, we are the exclusive product and research service provider based on the bioinformatics science of Dr. A. Keith Dunker and his collaborators (all formerly of Washington State University).  Dr. Dunker and his collaborators have become known as pioneers in the field of protein disorder analysis using bioinformatics.  In this venture, we aspire to be the “One Stop Shop for all disordered protein analysis, research and applications.”  So far, we have managed to obtain multiple research-alliance contracts with the likes of Amgen, NIH sponsored Structural Genomic Centers and an anesthesiology researcher.  In addition, we have managed to win 4 Phase I SBIR grants in less than two years from NIH in cancer and general medicine applications as well as one Phase II award from the National Cancer Institute.  For more information, please visit our web site PONDR.COM.

In August of 2003, our company moved to Indianapolis following Dr. Dunker’s move to Indiana University Medical School as Director of The Center for Computational Biology and Bioinformatics.  We continue our close collaboration with Drs. Dunker and Romero.

Our company now holds a portfolio of intellectual properties relating to disordered protein analysis applications.  These applications are powerful tools which will aim to drastically reduce costs in processes of drug target selection, drug discovery, and genomic research.  Our primary emphasis is on cancer related fields, with secondary emphasis on anesthesiology and structural genomics.  The protein research areas include: solubility, crystallizability, phosphorylation, cancer database, and molecular recognition elements.
